Description:
At the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, also known as COP 21, there will be an aim to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate change for the first time in over 20 years of United Nations negotiations. The stakes are high as the Conference of Parties (COP) gather to take action to help slow the pace of global climate change before the effects are irreversible. The impacts spread across all facets of our personal and professional lives. For Corporate Real Estate, lowering Greenhouse Gas Emissions is already a priority, as buildings command more than 50 percent of worldwide electricity demand. Sam Pickering provides his perspective on COP 21 and the significance of the outcome of the conference. Sam is a Senior Director with Source8 and is based in London.
