Second Harvest Food Bank is in URGENT need of volunteers! Many volunteers are unable to attend due to cold weather and sickness and there is so much food to provide food to our neighbors in need.
Together we can be the difference between hunger & hope. Your time and support will help provide nutritious food to families in need.
We will inspect, sort & pack donated products so that Second Harvest can distribute to over 700 partner agencies including homeless shelters, emergency pantries and soup kitchens. These agencies work to end hunger in our community.
- Wear comfortable clothing and Closed Toe Shoes (No Flip-Flops or Sandals permitted) as you will be working in the warehouse.
- Arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and make a name tag. The sign in sheet includes the waiver.
- Food donations are very much appreciated when you come and volunteer.
- Most wanted items: low-sodium canned vegetables, canned meat such as tuna or chicken, low-sodium soups, peanut butter, whole grain
cereal, canned fruits in juice, diapers, paper products, cleaning supplies
