Negotiation can be a daunting and uncomfortable process. But if you know the keys to successfully getting what you want (and need) at any point in your career, it can be a truly enjoyable experience for both you and the people you engage with during this time. Come join an active discussion as we explore the best practices and top ten tips for rewarding negotiation results. Attendees will also engage in a light workshop exercise designed to help prioritize and clarify what's most important to them. Our goal is for attendees to walk away with a new and empowered, holistic view of what it means to advocate for yourself.
Speaker: Erin Miller
As the Director of Business Development for SmithGroup’s New England Market, Erin applies a strategic storytelling lens to her work. She’s always been interested in the stories buildings tell about the people who use them—their culture, history, how individuals and groups communicate and innovate. She is passionate about serving the firm’s Healthcare, S&T, Higher Ed, Waterfronts, Urban Design, Cultural and Workplace markets, exploring the synergies and possibilities at the convergence of these practices. Erin is also co-chair of CoreNet’s Career Strategies Development Committee, and sits on the board of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. Erin has focused her 15-year career in real estate around the impact that Advocacy, Philanthropy, Community and Mentorship/Sponsorship can have on people’s experiences in business, and in the built environment.
