Industry 4.0 is the buzzword attached to what is considered the fourth industrial revolution taking place currently. While clearly the impact of Industry 4.0 is going to be society wide, the impact on managing the built environment particularly within the CRE segment is already occurring and will only pick up pace in the coming years. The elements that make up Industry 4.0 lend themselves particularly well to finding solutions for repetitive tasks. To take full advantage of Industry 4.0 benefits, there are several components that need to be considered such as The Cloud, IoT, AI, Big data and robotics to name a few. The cost efficiency being brought in with each of these changes can be clearly seen, the question then is simply of timing.
