Kevin Heffernan, AVP, Director of Transactions, Liberty Mutual
Kevin is the Assistant Vice President, Director of Transactions at Liberty Mutual Group in Boston. Liberty Mutual is a Fortune 100 Company with ~$40B in revenue. He is responsible for the leased portfolio that includes 450 domestic locations and over 5 million square feet of space. His Transaction group typically manages 150 active projects and negotiates over 1m square feet of office space per year. Kevin works with business managers in developing strategic plans for space acquisition and disposition and he implements real estate solutions that meet the business needs at the lowest price. He is an active participant in the Corporate Emergency Response Team and he leads the real estate requirements for business acquisitions and for all large international requirements. He is currently on the CoreNet New England Board of Directors, Secretary and the liaison for the Membership Committee. Kevin received his BA from St. Anselm College and has an MCR from CoreNet.
Cynthia Keliher, Partner, McCarter & English
Cynthia B. Keliher, (Immediate Past President) - Public and private real estate developers, owners, and landlords and tenants seek out Cynthia Keliher for her leadership in the New England commercial real estate market. Whether assisting clients with leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, or other real estate needs,Cynthia finds ways to close the transaction while meeting the clients’ business objectives. She helps clients address a full range of commercial real estate matters, including those concerning leasing, financing, zoning, development, permitting, tax abatement, foreclosures and loan workouts and commercial and residential condominiums. Co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, Cynthia focuses a great deal of her practice on leasing, representing landlords and tenants in complex ground, retail, office and data center leases. Significant representations include representing: (a) a public authority concerning a Boston convention center hotel development project; (b) a large technology company in negotiating its Cambridge, Massachusetts headquarters lease and in advising on the company’s global leasing portfolio; and (c) a university regarding a ground lease and the permitting and construction of a state of the art boathouse.
Deke Schultze, Principal/Regional Director - New England at Rubenstein Partners.
Deke is a senior executive at Rubenstein Partners and a real estate private equity fund manager, responsible for the firm’s investment activities in the New England region. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to Rubenstein Partners, Deke worked at Clarion Partners for ten years in various senior management roles encompassing property management, asset management and acquisitions. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts and received his MBA from Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. Deke is a member of NAIOP, ULI, CoreNet, USGBC, the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board’s Real Estate Finance Association.
