Come learn more about the Seattle 2030 District and how it is working with its property members to promote tenants’ actions to help meet the 2030 goals. The presentation will feature representatives from the 2030 District, Commute Seattle and the EnviroStars program, which is sponsored by the City of Seattle.
Meet the Panelists
Nick Abel, Pre-Tax Specialist, Commute Seattle
Nick Abel is a pre-tax specialist at Commute Seattle, a local nonprofit Transportation Demand Management Agency. Commute Seattle offers a variety of services to employers with the goal of making public transit option more accessible and affordable for everyone. Nick works with small businesses to provide transportation consultation and technical assistance with a focus on pre-tax employee benefits. His program can help employees save as much as 40% of their commuting costs while also saving employers up to 9% on payroll taxes and is cost-free and easy to implement.
Keegan Johnson, Green Business Solutions Specialist, EnviroStars
Keegan Johnson is a Green Business Solutions Specialist with EnviroStars. He helps Seattle area businesses conserve resources and prevent pollution. His goal is to support businesses in reducing costs, conserving resources, gaining a competitive edge, and contributing to a clean and healthy community.
Susan Wickwire, Executive Director, Seattle 2030 District
Susan Wickwire is the Executive Director of the Seattle 2030 District, an innovative private-public partnership that aims to dramatically reduce environmental impacts of building construction and operations through education and collaboration. Previously, Susan spent over 20 years with the U.S. EPA and the State Department in Washington, DC where she worked on climate change - directing national programs, managing international projects and serving on U.S. delegations to UN meetings. She received her BA in Political Science from Whitman College and her MPA from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University
