The early bird gets the worm. How can the CRE industry nurture and mentor the young workforce and build a space for them to thrive?
· Digitally Savvy: To be comfortable with their world and leverage social media platforms and digital networking tools to connect with them in their space.
· Open Mind: Gen-Z is unafraid to challenge the status quo and explore new ideas and approaches. There’s an open mindset needed to find solutions to problems and change things that matter to them.
· Room for Experimentation: Gen-Z individuals are often willing to step out of their comfort zones and leaders who allow that, nurture their curiosity bring in meaningful change to the individuals as well as the organisation.
· Equal Mentorship: Since Gen-Z individuals have grown up in a dynamic world, they are adept at adapting to new environments, situations and technologies. Mentoring them is a learning process as much as it is a teaching one.
