Leading from Within: DEI Leadership and Implementation with Dr. Dwinita Mosby Tyler

The CoreNet Connecticut Westchester and New England Chapters are excited to partner together again to present the next keynote in our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion series with Dr. Dwinita Mosby Tyler. Dr. Mosby Tyler has previously presented for the chapters in August and you can view the recording here.  

This session will focus on how every organization can benefit by implementing proven DEI strategies. Wherever you may sit in the real estate organization, you too can provide leadership by bringing corporate DEI strategies to action. No matter where your company may be in its own DEI journey, this learning session will offer ideas for moving its DEI vision to implementation and success. Takeaways from this session include: 

- Understanding your company’s “DEI maturity”

- How to provide DEI leadership from within the real estate department

- Actions that can be taken to advance proven strategies, meet organizational goals

- Learn about successful DEI implementation at other companies

In addition to her previous presentation with our Chapters Dr. Mosby Tyler presented at the CoreNet Global Summit for their 2020 Virtual North America Summit and several of their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion courses. In addition, Dr. Mosby Tyler interviewed Spike Lee at the CoreNet Global 2019 Summit. Dr Mosby Tyler has also given a Ted Talk Want a More Just World? Be an Unlikely Ally.

Biography

Dr. Mosby Tyler is the Chief Catalyst and Founder of The Equity Project, LLC – a consulting firm supporting organizations and communities in building diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and The HR Shop, LLC - a human resources firm designed to support non-profits and small businesses. She is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Inclusion Officer for Children’s Hospital Colorado – the first African American woman to hold that position in the organization's 100+ year history.

She is also the former Executive Director of the Office of Human Resources for the City and County of Denver – the first African American woman to hold that position in the 63+ year history of the agency. Dr. Mosby Tyler, a consultant accredited by the Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence and recipient of the Cornell University Diversity & Inclusion certification, is nationally recognized for her equity work with non-profit, community, government and corporate organizations.

 

Dr. Mosby Tyler has a vast, 32-year background in human resources, diversity & inclusion, training and operations management. She has held leadership roles at AT&T, Kaiser Permanente in both Georgia and Colorado-regions, the McKesson Corporation and Statline (a subsidiary of the Musculoskeletal Tissue Foundation).
