Building resilience is the capacity to sustain required operations in the face of disturbance and recover quickly after a disaster. As extreme weather events become the norm, incorporating resilience in healthcare facilities and beyond needs to be proactive instead of reactive. During this hour-long presentation and panel discussion, we will share latest observations, trends and drivers from healthcare facilities across the nation as well as recommendations from industry experts on the value of strategic investment in resilience.
Mónika Serrano - Turner Construction
Mónika currently leads the resiliency program at Turner Construction. She has held roles in most phases of the construction management sector in the last 17 years. She believes both resiliency and sustainability should be engrained in the built environment, throughout all operations and every individual for a successful future. Mónika believes climate change is one of the biggest threats to humanity and is passionate about adapting to a changing future while positively impacting our ecosystems. Mónika is a critical thinker and a problem solver, she is curious, personable and known to be a catalyst.
Randy Keiser - Turner Construction
For the past 40 years, Randy Keiser has been building major complex medical facilities with Turner Construction. He has served as a field engineer, project superintendent, project manager and project executive prior to his current position of Vice President, National Healthcare Director. As the leader of Turner’s National Healthcare Group, Randy is involved in all of Turner’s major complex healthcare construction projects and assists in completing 350+ projects each year. Randy is a healthcare industry expert and focuses on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. His experience includes new and renovation of hospital space, medical office buildings, clinics, surgery centers and imaging centers, and hospitals.
Randy’s leadership skills and ability to develop strong team relationships have helped make Turner the nation’s #1 Healthcare Constructor by Modern Healthcare and Engineering News Record.
Amy Daley – FM Global
Amy provides leadership to enable FM Global worldwide client retention and growth in the healthcare and education sectors. Amy has been with FM Global for 11 years and spent the previous 19 years as a property and casualty reinsurance underwriter, broker and commercial underwriter, as well as a loss control specialist. Amy is actively involved in ASHRM, ASHE, URMIA, RIMS and the Center for Campus Fire and Safety.
