Diversity supplier programs focus on increasing access to contracts operated by minorities, women, LGBT, veterans, and those with disabilities, as measured by the capital or contracts awarded to diverse business owners. Organizations can follow the approach of engaging with minority-owned businesses to foster an inclusive procurement process, increase their ethical standards, and ultimately increase their bottom lines. Multiple research studies have concluded that:
· Supplier diversity programs can add up to $3.6 million to the bottom line for every 1 million in procurement costs
· Awareness of supplier diversity initiatives increased brand loyalty among consumers by up to three times.
