Abstract:

The nature of networking has evolved over the last few decades. Group golf outings, conferences, cocktail, and dinner events, as well as focused one-on-one coffee and lunch conversations have always underpinned business. Recent creative platforms have included forums like “sweatworking,” that encourage attendees to forge deeper connections, through prioritizing health, wellbeing, vulnerability, and personal relationships.

In the era of Covid-19, our networking has gone mostly virtual, “meeting” with each other in 2D. Learning how to create rhythms that work for you in a work-from-home environment is an important part of business, as well as networking success. In fact, rethinking your networking habits and priorities can result in deeper, more meaningful and rewarding connections. Join us for a fireside chat and engaging group discussion around revisiting basic best practices in any scenario, as well as tactics and ideas for effectively networking during the current state and beyond. Whether your goals are to network to find a new career opportunity, build business opportunities, and/or maintain healthy social relationships, you’ll gain new ideas and perspective. Our event will conclude with a 20-minute networking session via small group breakouts, so you can test your new skills.
