Your career advancement is directly tied to your ability to provide good customer service to all. The world has changed, and evolution stops for nobody. As businesses evolve to meet changing customer needs, the focus on customer service has become increasingly important. Regardless of your specific company, most have really become customer service industries in our 24/7 digitally engaged world. And how we define our clients vary from service providers with external clients to in-house CRE functions where all employees and stakeholders are ‘clients’, to even consultants and team members. 

Please join us as we engage with and learn from customer service experts from a variety of places outside of CRE. They will share tips and tricks for creating amazing, best in class client experiences applicable to all parts of our industry that you can use to improve your own customer service!

   Brian Hanley, Vice President, BlackRock

Brian Hanley, Vice President of BlackRock, is the Training Manager for the Boston and Wilmington Retail and Liquidity Service Centers and is also the training contact for the US Shareholder Services team within Global Client Services. Brian joined BlackRock in June 2005 after holding similar positions at PFPC and BankBoston, and graduated from Westfield State College.  

 

   Seth Merin,  Vice President of Operations, Air Ventures LLC

Seth Merin is the Vice President of Operations for Air Ventures LLC, a premier operator of Airport Restaurants, where he is responsible for the overall operations of 25 Restaurants throughout 8 Airports, executing the company’s vision through new innovations and technology to include the guest experience, training, and strategic procurement to drive the financial success of the organization. A proud graduate of Johnson & Wales University, he brings over 20 years of experience to the hospitality industry and has worked with national chains such as TGI Fridays, Not Your Average Joes, and Daily Grill in all levels of management with an emphasis on the guest experience through traditional and non traditional methods.  BRIAN HANLEY: 

 

   Mitch Evans, Deb Evans Associates

Mitch has been in the Sales and Marketing field for his entire working life.  After beginning his career in New York in the Oil and Gas industry, he relocated to Boston and began a 35 year career in the commercial furnishings business by starting off in the mid 80’s as a junior sales representative with Offices Unlimited.  After a two year stint, Mitch joined Creative Office Pavilion as part of their sales organization where he led their A&D development program.  After several years in this role, he was named Vice President of Sales where he maintained this role for the past 20+ years, retiring in January. Mitch was an active member of Corenet New England, serving on and eventually becoming Chair of the Talent in Transition committee.  He spent the last three years as a member of the Board of Directors.
