The CNG Mid-Atlantic Education Committee is hosting a panel discussion with leading corporate real estate executives to explore different perspectives and best practices of their corporate real estate departments’ organizational design.  Our moderator will lead an interactive conversation on best practices, how they manage their portfolios utilizing different internal organizational models, and how they leverage service provider outsourcing relationships.

Deane is a Global Workplace Executive with extensive experience in strategic planning, workplace design, facility operations, portfolio management, budgeting and forecasting, project coordination, and master space planning. Deane has been involved with numerous real estate deals and has delivered transformational, cost-effective, and innovative workplace and portfolio solutions with increased utilization verified through meaningful metrics. A broad-minded leader with a tremendous vision that knows how to effectively align resources to deliver meaningful results. He is especially talented at building a strong and diverse team.

Dawn Striff | Head of Workplace Solutions | Nestle 

Dawn has been with Nestle for over 30 years and has helped Nestle achieve it’s mission of unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come.  As you can imagine, as the world’s largest food and beverage company, Nestle has a large and diverse real estate portfolio. Dawn successfully leads Nestle’s Workplace Solutions team for North America.

 

 

Chuck CerriaHead of Real Estate and Facility Operations | CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield

 

Chuck Cerria is the Head of Real Estate and Facility Operations at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. He joined CareFirst in 2021 to lead the company’s corporate real estate function through its ongoing workplace transformation. He leads the Future of Work program at the company which brings a cross-functional team together to integrate technology, brand, community, health & well-being, accessibility, and sustainability into CareFirst workplaces. CareFirst’s Future of Work is how its workforce, workplace, and workspace evolution synthesize in a way that unlocks value for its employees, communities, and customers.

Prior to joining CareFirst, Chuck served in various management and consulting roles in commercial real estate, most recently with FTI Consulting. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the Catholic University of America and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois. He is also an Advisory Board Member at Blume, holds a LEED AP designation from USGBC, a PMP designation from PMI, and is an active member of the CoreNet MidAtlantic Chapter.

 

Chris Boynton | Senior Manager | MITRE Corporate Real Estate

Chris is a Facility and Engineering Director with proven success in all facets of building operations. A proven strategic planner with solid organizational and interpersonal skills, Chris has experience in the design, procurement, and implementation of critical infrastructures, personnel, and systems. He is a reliable, multi-skilled leader whose efforts are an asset to MITRE.
