CoreNet Young Leaders - Summer Series – Q&A with CEO and Founder of Biome Collin Cavote
For our first virtual series, we will be hosting a Q&A with CoreNet Young Leader and entrepreneur Collin Cavote! The theme will be working through feelings of adversity. This gives you the opportunity to look through the eyes of an entrepreneur, learn more their path and the decisions they've made to get to where they are now.
Collin Cavote is the CEO & Founder of Biome, an indoor health and spatial intelligence company that is recognized for pioneering smart living walls that clean and monitor the health of indoor spaces. Biome's mission is to optimize the physical, cognitive, and emotional experiences of indoor life.
Prior to founding Biome, Collin studied Biomimetics in a customer degree he wrote and had accredited at Drexel University in Philadelphia. While researching how plants evolved the ability to clean air, his focus turned to the roots where billions of beneficial microbes destroy air pollution. With methods to increase the efficiency of this natural process, Collin built prototypes and eventually secured funding to bring this natural technology to market.
Previously a down-shifter to off-grid living, Collin is now committed to demonstrating how for-profit business can be a force for good. Collin is a Congressional fellow for his work in urban sustainability and human health.
